Upon an initial consultation, we will provide you with an estimate in hours of how long it will
take to develop your site. This number will vary depending on how in-depth and content-heavy your site is.
We will talk in detail about what features you would like, who your audience is, and other subjects to
narrow down the focus of your project (you may already have this figured out). The more you know about what
you want the better, but, we can also help pinpoint these details with you.
We will start with home page and secondary page sample design mockups...just flat files with no functionality. The point
is to show you layout ideas and element placement without actually coding any HTML. We will easily be able to tweak the
layout of these files until you give final approval, or "signoff", at which point we will go into production. All production work
is done on our servers, but you will have password-protected web access to these areas.
We specialize in getting work done fast, and getting it done right the first time. That is why we
ask that you have your content proofread, revised, and approved before you submit it to us. Once you submit your
content, that is what goes into the development of the web site. Any revisions will happen AFTER your site is developed
and outside of the original quote. We can make these revisions for you, or you can see to them yourself. Its up to you!
We believe that ultimately the client drives the process. It IS your site, after all. However, we will be quite up front
about informing you of limitations, advising against using certain features, or even if we just think the colors don't
work well together. We believe it is our responsibility as the designers you hire to share our knowledge and opinion.
Sometimes we've seen an issue or problem along the way, and it helps to head off any snags at the pass by interjecting
bits and pieces of our wisdom here and there.
As we want you to be satisfied with the end product, we keep you included in the process so that your
intent and purpose are conveyed. We may, though, grab the wheel from time to time just to make sure things stay on
budget and deadline.
A lot of people think they can just buy a WYSIWYG editor to build a site and its going to look good. Or hire their kid brother who
took a class in HTML and knows a little bit about Photoshop. This may be fine if you're not interested in quality. But if you
are, then you've come to the right place. We will weave our experience, knowledge, and available technology with design
expertise. We keep you and your audience in mind, at the same time as creating very slick, easily navigated, and fast-loading
web sites that are unique and individualistic. Some people rely on cookie cutters...we choose to create something different
every time.
